Waypoint Quoted
A reporter for Fidelity.com called me last week to ask about changes in investment strategy as a result of the recent run-up in US stocks. My comments appeared in the article on Fidelity’s web site today.
His questions prompted me to write in more detail about that strong performance so far this year, and the temptation to react. (See my article US Stocks: What Could Go Wrong?)
I take a long-term approach to investing, rather than trying to trade in and out, which I believe (and studies have shown) delivers worse performance.
Yes, the US stock market has experienced strong performance. But I defer to Warren Buffet, who in his recently-published annual report quoted Mae West: “Too much of a good thing can be wonderful.”
